About Belek
Belek is a resort area on the Mediterranean coast in Antalya's Serik district, known above all as Türkiye's golf capital. Its courses wind through umbrella pine forests that run almost down to a long ribbon of fine sand, and the beach is a protected nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles. A short drive inland, the Roman theatre of Aspendos still has its stage building standing and ranks among the best-preserved ancient theatres anywhere. Neighboring Kadriye and Boğazkent extend the resort strip along the coast, with Boğazkent the quieter of the two.
Most visitors split their stay between the beach and day trips. Popular choices include guided culture tours pairing Aspendos with the ancient cities of Perge or Side, rafting on the Köprüçay river in Köprülü Canyon, jeep safaris into the Taurus foothills and boat trips along the coast. Families tend to favor half-day outings with hotel pickup, while golfers often plan rounds on several different courses. Things to do in Belek are spread out, so trips with transport included save time. TurTalebi lets you compare tours from local firms in the area and book securely by card.

All ToursTop Things to See
Aspendos Roman Theatre
Built in the Roman period and still remarkably intact, this theatre is one of the finest of its kind in the ancient world. Look out for the arches of the old aqueduct on the plain nearby.
Belek Golf Courses
Laid out between pine forest and sea, the courses draw golfers from across Europe, especially in spring and autumn. Several also offer lessons and practice facilities for beginners.
Belek Beach
This long sandy shoreline is wide and easygoing, which makes it a natural fit for families. In summer, keep clear of the marked loggerhead turtle nests and keep lights off the beach after dark.
Rafting in Köprülü Canyon
The most popular adventure trip from Belek follows the cool, clear Köprüçay river with a guide. Most routes suit beginners and families, with calm stretches between the rapids.
Kadriye and Boğazkent
Kadriye is a lively strip of resorts, while Boğazkent sits where the Köprüçay meets the sea and has a more relaxed feel. Both are only minutes from central Belek.
Perge and Side
These two ancient cities, on either side of Belek, round out an Aspendos visit with colonnaded streets and grand theatres. At Side, the seaside columns of the Temple of Apollo are lovely at sunset.
Plan Your Trip
When to Go
Belek's beach season usually runs from May to the end of October. July and August are hot and humid, so plan excursions for early morning or late afternoon. Spring and autumn are the prime golf seasons, with mild temperatures and lush fairways, and they are also ideal for sightseeing at Aspendos and Perge. Winters are mild by European standards; the sea is too cool for most swimmers, but quieter roads and ruins make it a good time for golf and history.
Getting There
Antalya Airport is the gateway to Belek, about 30 km to the west, and the transfer typically takes around half an hour. From Antalya city, the D400 highway heads east straight to the resort area. Many tours offer pickup from hotels in Belek, Kadriye and Boğazkent. Since Aspendos, Perge and Side all lie on or near the same highway, day trips are easy to arrange without long hours on the road.
Practical Tips
- There is very little shade at Aspendos and Perge, so bring a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water on summer visits.
- For rafting, wear clothes you don't mind soaking, pack a dry change and choose sandals or water shoes that strap on securely.
- During turtle nesting season, avoid using flashlights on the beach at night and never place loungers or umbrellas over marked nests.
